Traffic Police arrests dangerous drug traffickers

PSNews – Detecting a car with some suspicious signs, the Traffic Police Team of District 8, Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC) stopped the vehicle to check but the driver accelerated it away. After a long chase, the police successfully arrested 2 persons in the car and seized a large number of drugs.

The Police Station of District 8 under the HCM Municipal Police Department on November 10 detained 2 persons who are Huynh Duc Loi (aged 35, residing in District 10) and To Xuan Binh (aged 34, residing in Kien Giang Province) for storing and trafficking drugs.

Earlier in the same morning, the Traffic Police Team of District 8 while patrolling around the Da Nam-Pham The Hien intersection detected a suspect 4-seat car with its licensed plate number 68A-108.43. The traffic police stopped the vehicle but the driver tried to flee away. The traffic officers had to ran after the suspect car through many routes from District 8 to District 3 before forced it to stop.

Along the way, two persons in the car used guns to threaten the police officers. Despite the danger, the traffic officers persistently raced the suspects. At the Nam Ky Khoi Nghia – Ly Chinh Thang intersection, the runaway car crashed into the hard median trip, and stopped.

Two persons on the car suddenly threw a red nylon bag on the street with a gun and a large amount of synthetic drugs inside to destroy their traces of crimes. The traffic police successfully overpowered the 2 suspects, seized the exhibits and took them to the criminal police office for further investigation.
