Traffic Police facing drug-related criminals
Traffic Police of Bac Giang is known for their achievements in combating drug-related crimes, capturing various suspects and seizing large amount of drugs as well as other tools.
As informed by an officer of Bac Giang Traffic Police Office, at about 10:30 pm September 13th, a traffic control group led by captain Hoang Anh Tuan detected a white 4-passenger Chevrolet Cruze, license plate number 15A-261.03 overspeeding.
The traffic team stopped the vehicle for checking and identified 01 man and 01 woman who failed to produce their legal documents.
Furthermore, they discovered a quantity of white crystal carefully covered in 3 small plastic bags which were suspected to be methamphetamine.
The working team immediately controlled and captured the two suspects, took them and other relevant exhibits to police station for examination.

The suspects were identified as Nguyen Van Quy, 38, lives in Nguyen Duc Canh Street, Cat Dai Commune, Le Chan District, Hai Phong and the other is Ngo Thi Dau, 42, lives in Ngoc Han Street, Son Tra District, Da Nang. According to his testimony, Quy bought such amount of drug from an anonymous Chinese person to smuggle to Hai Phong.
In the next 2 days, Traffic officers of Bac Giang managed to arrest 4 suspects for trafficking 300grams of synthetic drugs and other tools, etc.
The working team led by captain Hoang Anh Tuan used to arrest 2 suspects smuggling 40 bars of heroin and other 350 pills of methamphetamine by car.
Another example that is worth mentioning is Ha Duc Nhan, leader of Traffic Control Group No.1, who were in charge of controlling traffic safety of the 1A National Highway through Bac Giang.
An accident in Van Trung commune (Viet Yen District) between a taxi, license plate number 29A-581.67 and a motorcycle resulted in 2 people being injured.
The working team took the taxi driver, Tran Ngoc Son, 31, from Vinh Phuc, to hospital.

Ha Duc Nhan was responsible for protecting the scene for further investigation. Nhan discovered the taxi fee was nearly VND 600k and two passengers hurried to leave the scene. To his doubt, Nhan called for support from other officers and succeeded in capturing one of the two strangers.
Checking the surrounding of the suspect, the working team discovered a plastic bag containing several brown rectangle bars which is suspected to be narcotics.
The other suspect was then arrested.
They were identified Luong Van Cuong, 22 and Chu Van Sai, 28, lived in Thanh Loa commune, Cao Loc district, Lang Son. They confessed that all those brown bars were heroin.
Due to its characteristics, offences relating to drug smuggling may serve severe punishment, even death penalty. Consequently, traffickers are willing to resort to the most drastic methods to survive. They are even armed and willing to fight back if necessary.
In the past few years, Bac Giang Traffic Police has succeded in seizing over 200 pie of heroin and other illegal goods, including ivory or fine wood. Thanks to their dedicated work, local security and social order are ensured, other problems such as overloading vehicles are well controlled.
