The Traffic Police Force nationwide is enhancing patrols and checks to ensure traffic order and safety, following a plan from March 15 to April 15, 2020.

Traffic police force handles violations of road traffic regulations.

The plan aimed to continue to seriously and effectively implement the Law on Prevention and Control of Harm of Liquor and Beer Abuse, the Government’s Decree No.100 on administrative penalties for road traffic offences and rail transport offences.

Particularly, the traffic police focuses on detecting and handling traffic violations on all roads, railways and waterways.

Traffic police units should mobilize maximum forces, means, and professional technical equipment as well as take synchronous measures to ensure traffic order and safety during important national events such as the 36th ASEAN Summit in Da Nang City.

In the buildup to the 36th ASEAN Summit, the Department of Traffic Police under the Ministry of Public Security in coordination with relevant agencies and units has deployed plans, forces and means across Da Nang city to ensure traffic safety for all international delegations during the Summit.

The Department of Traffic Police has also required all traffic police officers and soldiers to uphold their sense of responsibility, strictly abide by the working procedures and follow the instructions on COVID-19 prevention.
