Training conference 2016 on policy work in public security forces held

• Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Thanh receives Ambassador of the EU to Vietnam
• Police forces in response to rainfall and flood situation
• Preparations for 50th founding anniversary of Department of Political Work discussed

Present at the event were Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Thanh, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Minister of Public Security; Lieutenant General Tran Ba Thieu, Director of the General Department of Politics (GDP), Major General Nguyen Quang Chu, Deputy Director of GDP; Senior Colonel Nguyen Hai Trung, Deputy Director of the GDP; Major General Pham Xuan Binh, Director of the Department of Policy under the MPS as well as Vice Chairman of the Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee and delegates of public security units across the country.

At the conference, the trainees will be briefed on some new contents on personnel and organization work implemented in 2016, on policy work in 2016 and healthcare in accordance with the Act on Health Insurance. 

Participants at the event also had time to discuss issues of common concern, join Q&A session and give opinions and comments on relevant issues.

Addressing the conference, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Thanh stressed that such issues as social insurance, health insurance and policy work play an important role in building the public security forces, contributing to encouraging officers and soldiers to fulfill their assignments. 

He also asked the General Department of Politics, the Department of Policy and the Department of Personnel and Organization to popularize the basic contents and the new contents to all participants, meeting the requirements for tasks in the current context.

As authorized by the Prime Minister, Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Thanh conferred a certificate of merit to the Social Insurance Office under the Department of Policy of the MPS. The Vietnam Social Security also awarded certificates of merit to outstanding individuals and organizations in the implementation of policy work, social insurance, health insurance and personnel work within the public security forces.
