Training course on National Database on Population for police officers opened in Hanoi

The Ministry of Public Security on April 23 opened an online training course to equip the police officers in charge of social order administrative management  with knowledge of the National Database on Population for.

The training course takes place from April 23 to 24. Major General Nguyen Duy Ngoc, Deputy Minister of Public Security, attended and delivered a keynote speech at the opening ceremony of the training course  in April 23.

In accordance with the 2014 Law on Citizenship Identity, the Ministry of Public Security was tasked by the Government to develop the National Database on Population. The project will serve as a premise for building the e-government and the digital economy.

The project has significant impacts on professional work of the People's Public Security Forces as it requires the Public Security Forces to innovate their working approaches while performing their functions of State governance over security and social order in the current situation.

Speaking at the training course, Deputy Minister Nguyen Duy Ngoc requested leaders of public security units and agencies nationwide to pay due attention to equipping their police officers and soldiers, especially those at the grassroots level, with the procedures for collecting, updating, correcting and examining citizens’ information on the National Database on Population articulated in Decision No. 2615/QD-BCA.

The public security agencies and units were also urged to exchange their working experience and practices among one another as well as discuss difficulties in the implementation of the national database in order to fulfill their assigned tasks in the time to come.
