Training course on wildlife crime for PS force to open
HCMC - This training course supposes to enhance skills on collecting, managing and analyzing information about wildlife crime and improve law enforcement capacity for environmental police force.
On October 18th, the People's Police Academy - Ministry of Public Security in collaboration with Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS) held the opening ceremony for training course on collecting, managing and analyzing information about wildlife crime for officials working within Department of environmental police (EP) and HCMC Public Security forces.
Lieutenant Colonel, Dr. Nguyen Minh Hien, director of Criminology and Crime Investigation Research Centre - People's Police Academy said, in recent years, Vietnam biodiversity rates especially animal and plant species extinction rates have increased. Those illegal activities includes hunting, keeping, sale, slaughter wildlife animals have been happening uncontrollably with more dangerous quackeries.

Crime even attack, injure special forces on duty. But environmental police force has played an important and leading role in applying positive methods to prevent and restrict wildlife crime.

During 3 days of training, 26 participants from Ho Chi Minh City Public Security force and the Southern Environment Police Department will join several sections such as Introduction of wild animals; Practical skills on collecting, managing and analyzing information about wildlife crime; Practical skills on identifing several wildlife common species.
