Training on codification of system of legal norms

PSNews – The Ministry of Public Security (MPS) on Nov. 15 held a conference to train the Ordinance on Codification of the Legal System, and Decree No.52 issued on May 28, 2015 by the Government on the national database of laws.

The workshop was organized for over 400 delegates who are leaders and officials from legal agencies under the General Departments, the High Commands and the units under the Minister of Public Security.

Addressing the workshop, Lieutenant General Nguyen Ngoc Anh, Director of the MPS’s Department of Legal Affairs and Justice-Administrative-Legal Reform stressed the need to popularize the two documents.

The event also aimed to raise awareness of the two documents among the Public Security Forces and to augment efficiency in updating information and using legal documents in the national data system on the legal affairs relating to the Public Security Forces, he added.

Representatives from the Ministry of Justice and the MPS’s Department of Legal Affairs and Justice-Administrative-Legal Reform briefed on the main contents of the Ordinance on Codification of the Legal System, and Decree No.52 issued on May 28, 2015 by the Government on the national database of laws.

They also discussed the requirements and responsibilities outlined in the documents of the Public Security Forces in general and each unit in particular.

According to Lieutenant General Nguyen Ngoc Anh, as decided in the Ordinance on Codification of the Legal System by the Prime Minister, the Ministry of Public Security has been assigned to compile 20 articles on three main topics.

Lieutenant General Nguyen Ngoc Anh asked all units to further strengthen the implementation of the two documents and relate documents issued by the MPS to eliminate conflictive or obsolete legal documents in order to build a strong and clear legal system.

He also affirmed that this is a new and difficult task requiring active collaboration of all units under the Ministry of Public Security.
