Training session on firefighting and rescue skills held for Hanoi school teachers

PSNews – Fire Prevention and Fight Division No.2, the Hanoi Municipal Fire Police in collaboration with the Ba Dinh District People’s Committee held a training session on fire-fighting and rescue skills for 2,429 managers and teachers of kindergarten, primary and secondary schools in Ba Dinh district from May 21 - 26. 

Fire Prevention and Fight Division No.2 instructed participants some solutions to ensure fire safety as well as specific escaping plans for teachers and students.

At the event, Senior Colonel Nguyen Truong Son, Head of Fire Prevention and Fight Division No.2 focused on a number of issues including: approaches to popularize the movement “All people preventing and fighting fire”; ways to enhance the effectiveness of fire prevention and fight at school and at home; methods to escape from fire at home; methods to prevent smoke and fire from spreading; and how to use fire-fighting tools during fire or explosion incidents.

Besides, school managers and teachers were instructed on how to identify characteristics and types of fire to apply suitable fire-fighting methods and tools, and how to minimize fire and explosion hazards.

Officer Nguyen Truong Son directly instructed school managers and teachers on steps of handling a fire incident and their assistance for firefighters in doing their jobs effectively.

The training session would help raise awareness and knowledge of fire prevention and fight as well as rescue and assistance in certain fire incidents among teachers and staffs, contributing to reducing human and material losses caused by fire at school and at home.
