University of Logistics and Techniques open new academic year

PSNews - The University of Logistics and Techniques under the Ministry of Public Security on Nov. 9 held a grand ceremony to open the 2016-2017 academic year with the participation of Senior Lieutenant General, Ass. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Thanh, Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Minister of Public Security.

The event was also attended by Vice Chairman of the Bac Ninh Provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Huu Thanh; Major General Dang Vu Son, Head of the Government's Cipher Agency; Ass. Prof. Dr. Do Ngoc Can, Deputy Director of the General Department of Politics under the Ministry of Public Security; Major General, Ass. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Chuyen, Deputy Director of the General Department of Logistics and Techniques; and Major General Nguyen Minh Tuan, Deputy Chief of the Office of Ministry of Public Security.

Speaking at the ceremony, Major General, Dr. Nguyen Dang Tien, President of the Academy, Deputy Director of the General Department of Politics of the Public Security Forces highlighted the university’s achievements in the last academic year.

For its achievements, the university was presented with the Emulation Flags last year by the Ministry of Public Security; 2 units under the University received the Emulation Flags for Excellent Units from the MPS and 3 units were awarded with Emulation Flags for Excellent Units from the General Department of Politics of the Public Security Forces.

At the ceremony, on behalf of the Central Public Security Party Committee, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Thanh praised the great effort made over the past years by cadres, lecturers and cadets of the University of Logistics and Techniques, especially in providing courses for officials of the Ministry of Public Security.

He asked the University to continue to promote scientific research and innovation to improve the teaching and learning qualities.

The University were also urged to strengthen exchange and cooperation with other training institutions, leading research centers in the field of logistics and techniques inside and outside the Public Security Forces, at home and overseas.

In conclusion, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Thanh beat the drum to mark the beginning of the new academic year and presented flowers and to congratulate the University.
