Vietnam, China hold 5th Deputy Minister-level Security Dialogue

Senior Lieutenant General Bui Van Nam, Deputy Minister of Public Security led a high-ranking delegation of the Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security (MPS) to join the 5th Deputy Minister-level security dialogue between Vietnam and China on November 24 in Hanoi.

Deputy Minister of Chinese National Security Wang Yuwen headed the Chinese delegation.

At the dialogue, the two sides reviewed the results of the agreements’ implementation, and discussed orientations for bilateral cooperation in the coming time with the aim of enhancing political trust and promoting the efficiency and practical outcomes of cooperation between the two ministries.

Speaking at the dialogue, Deputy Minister Bui Van Nam affirmed that, in spite of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Vietnam - China cooperation relationship continues developing in various fields based on the mutual concepts agreed by senior leaders of the two Parties and two countries.

The close and effective cooperation between the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam and the Ministry of National Security of China will make an important contribution to the friendship and cooperation between the two countries.

Wang Yuwen emphasized that the Deputy Minister-level Strategic Security Dialogue mechanism between the two ministries has become an important channel, which is supported by senior leaders of the two Parties and two countries.

The outcomes of the 5th Deputy Minister-level Strategic Security Dialogue will foster the bilateral cooperation and relationship between the two countries, as well as between the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam and the Ministry of National Security of China in the coming time, Wang said.
