Vietnam - China to bolster security ties

PSNews - Senior Lieutenant General To Lam, Politburo member and Minister of Public Security, on January 22, received Chinese Ambassador to Vietnam Hong Xiaoyong.

Minister To Lam thanked Ambassador Hong Xiaoyong and the Chinese Embassy for their large contributions to the development of the relationship between the two countries in general, and intensive cooperation between the Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security and Chinese law enforcement agencies on prevention and fighting against crimes.

Minister To Lam emphasized that the good cooperation between the Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security and the Chinese Ministry of State Security has futher been promoted in a more practical and effective manner over the past time. He hoped that the bilateral cooperation would contribute positively to security and development of each country.

Minister To Lam believed that the relationship between Vietnam and China in general and the effective cooperation between the Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security and the Chinese Ministry of State Security in particular will be strengthened further for the benefits of the two peoples.

The Minister of Public Security took the occasion to extend the 2018 Lunar New Year greetings to Ambassador Hong Xiaoyong and his comrades at the Chinese Embassy, wishing them good health, happiness and big success.

For his part, Ambassador Hong Xiaoyong thanked Minister To Lam and the Ministry of Public Security for their sincere sentiments and effective supports for him in the recent times.

He affirmed to continue contributing to the friendly relations between the two countries in general, cooperation between the Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security and the Chinese Ministry of State Security in particular.
