Vietnam - Laos strengthen security cooperation

Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Son is a member of the Vietnamese high-ranking delegation led by Standing Deputy Prime Minister Truong Hoa Binh paying a visit to Laos.

Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Son and Senior Lieutenant General Vilay Lakhamphong at the meeting.

At the meeting, Senior Lieutenant General Vilay Lakhamphong and Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Son exchanged the situation of security, order and crime prevention of each country in recent years.

The two sides highly appreciated the cooperation results between the two ministries over the past time, contributing to building a peaceful and stable environment for socio-economic development of each country and tightening the comprehensive relationship between the two Parties, the two Governments and the two peoples in general and between the Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security and the Lao Ministry of Security in particular.

Regarding the future cooperation, the two sides agreed to increase exchange of delegations at all levels, sharing of experiences and information, and coordination in fighting crimes.

* On this occasion, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Son also visited and inquired after the staff of the Representative Office of the Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security in Laos.
