PSNews – Major General Luong Tam Quang, Chief of the Ministry of Public Security’s Office on October 22 received a delegation of the Lao Ministry of Security’s Office, led by Major General Sisavath Keomalavong, Chief of the Office.
Speaking at the meeting, Major General Luong Tam Quang highlighted the great outcomes of the cooperation between the Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security and the Lao Ministry of Security in recent times, saying that within the framework of the close ties of the two ministries, the two offices have promoted cooperation and support each other in personnel trainings, exchanging experiences, to name but a few.

Major General Luong Tam Quang suggested the two offices, according to their assignments, further cooperation in all areas, and support each other in advising the two ministries’ leadership on protecting national security, combating crimes, training personnel, and strengthening logistics and techniques so as to raise the effectiveness and quality of the bilateral cooperation within the framework of the signed agreements.
Mr. Sisavath Keomalavong, for his part, thanked Major General Quang for the warm reception. He expressed his delight at the great developments in the bilateral relations between the two countries and ministries in general as well as the close coordination between the two offices in particular, saying that the cooperation between the two offices has contributed to maintaining national security and social order and safety of each country.
He also expressed his hope that the two offices would further expand bilateral cooperation and actively support each other in all areas and join efforts to achieve more important outcomes in all cooperation areas.
At the meeting, the two sides also briefed each other on the functions, tasks, organizational structure of each office and also exchanged experiences in performing their principal function as a think-tank of the leadership of each ministry.
