Vietnam and Republic of Korea promote security cooperation

PSNews- Senior Lieutenant General Bui Van Nam, Deputy Minister of Public Security received a delegation of the National Police Agency of the Republic of Korea (RoK) on December 2.

The South Korean delegation was led by Mr. Lee Joo Min, Head of the Foreign Relations Department under the National Police Agency of RoK.

Deputy Minister Bui Van Nam expressed his delight at effective and positive developments in the Vietnam-RoK strategic partnership and practical fruitful outcomes of bilateral cooperation between the two countries in politics, economics, trade and investment, culture, security and law enforcement, over the past years.

The two sides have also boosted cooperation in fighting crime, and ensuring national security and social order and safety. Vietnam and RoK have maintain regular and effective exchanges of information, perfected cooperation mechanisms in verifying, investigating and cracking down on hi-tech, transnational crimes and international terrorism.

To expand and deepen bilateral cooperation between the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam and the National Police Agency of South Korea in the future, the Vietnamese Deputy Minister suggested both sides continue to further exchange and share information, situations relating to criminal activities, their methods and tricks in each country.

Mr. Lee Joo Min vowed to cooperate closely with the Department of Foreign Relations under the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam, and to promote cooperation between the two agencies in protecting national security, contributing to bolster the strategic partnership between Vietnam and the Republic of Korea, between the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam and the National Police Agency of RoK.
