PSNews – The Quang Nam Provincial Police Department on June 24 held a conference to review its cooperation with the Lao’s Sekong Provincial Police in recent times and to roll out plans for the bilateral cooperation in the future.

The Quang Nam Provincial Police Department on June 24 held a conference to review its cooperation with the Lao’s Sekong Provincial Police in recent times and to roll out plans for the bilateral cooperation in the future.

Reports at the conference said that over the past time, the two units have well implemented all cooperation contents of the annual memorandum of understanding, contributing to maintaining security along the shared border section of the two provinces.

In particular, the police forces of border districts of the two provinces well coordinated and gained positive results in preventing and fighting crimes and illegal immigrations.

The two units agreed to further strengthen cooperation in the coming time, with a focus on well performing administrative management of social order security in border areas and mobilizing people living on both sides of the shared border to observe the laws and regulations of the two countries.

The two police units also vowed to maintain exchange of information in order to solve issues related to security and order on time while increasing joint patrols to prevent smuggling and drug trafficking across the Quang Nam - Sekong border section.
