Vietnamese MPS congratulates Lao Public Security Forces on its founding anniversary

PSNews - Vietnamese Deputy Minister of Public Security Senior Lieutenant General Bui Van Nam attended a ceremony to celebrate the 60th founding anniversary of the Lao People's Public Security Force (April 5, 1961 - 2021) held by the representative office of the Ministry of Public Security (MPS) of Laos in Vietnam on April 5.

The ceremony saw the presence of Lao Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador to Vietnam Sengphet Houngboungnuang, Chief Representative of the Lao MPS in Vietnam Colonel Phayvanh Sitthichanh, among leaders of Hanoi-based ministries and Central-level agencies.

On the occasion of the 60th founding anniversary of the Lao Public Security Forces and the upcoming Lao New Year festival (Bun Pi May), Deputy Minister Bui Van Nam on behalf of the Vietnamese MPS leadership expressed best wishes to Ambassador Sengphet Houngboungnuang and Colonel Phayvanh Sitthichanh. He also extended greetings from General To Lam, Member of the Politburo and Minister of Public Security of Vietnam, to all Lao public security officers and soldiers as well as their families.

On behalf of the Party, the State, the Public Security Forces, and the people of Laos, Ambassador Sengphet Houngboungnuang expressed deep gratitude to the Vietnamese Party, State, Government, Public Security Forces and people for the great support and assistance in the Lao national liberation wars in the past as well as in the current building of the country and Public Security Force of Laos.

The Ambassador also thanked the Vietnamese side for assisting Laos in the current causes of construction and defense of the country.

He wished the great friendship and comprehensive cooperation between the two Parties, Governments, and people as well as the close traditional relationship between the two Public Security Forces will achieve more fruitful results in the time to come.
