Vietnamese and Chinese PSFs expand cooperation on anti-terrorism on borderline

PSNews - The two sides provided ideas to expand the bilateral cooperation on anti-terrorism, which include promoting information exchange, enhancing management of border immigration, holding more anti-terrorism drills at border gates, etc.

The 2nd Conference on Cooperation on Anti-Terrorism along the Vietnam – China borderline took place on December 26, in Lang Son city, with the aim of discussing initiatives and suggestions to promote cooperation between the two sides in preventing and fighting terrorism along the shared borderline.

Senior Colonel Ngo Tien Dung, Head of the Cao Loc District Police Station led the Vietnamese delegation including representatives of Van Lang and Trang Dinh District Police Station while the Chinese delegation was led by Zhu Yuanming, Head of the Ping Xiang Police Unit in the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.

At the conference, the two sides provided ideas to expand the bilateral cooperation on anti-terrorism, which include promoting information exchange, enhancing management of border immigration, holding more anti-terrorism drills at border gates; fighting illegal weapons trading; dealing with implicit cross-border financial activities of individuals and organizations suspected of money laundering and terrorist financing activities.

In particular, representatives of the two delegations signed a memorandum of understanding on anti-terrorism with a focus on implementing the agreements signed by the two  Governments and the two Ministries of Public Security as well as the law enforcement cooperation mechanism of between the Police District Stations of Cao Loc, Van Lang, Trang Dinh of Vietnam, and the Ping Xiang Police Unit of China, contributing to maintaining political stability and social order along the Vietnam - China borderline.
