Vinh Long police effectively conduct campaign against crimes

The political security situation in the province has been stable. During the time, the provincial police discovered two property thefts and arrested two suspects involved.

The professional units under the provincial police department and district police forces raided 12 gambling spots and arrested 104 people involved.

During their patrol, the provincial police force detected seven tobacco smuggling cases, seized 8,200 packs of tobacco, two vehicles and many other smuggled goods. The police also discovered two drug trafficking cases.

During the campaign, which runs from July 15 to October 14, the Provincial Police Department will focus on attacking and suppressing crimes, ensuring security and order for the upcoming important events, including the 75th Anniversary of the August Revolution, the National Day and the 75th founding anniversary of the Public Security Forces and Party Congresses at all levels.

Senior Colonel Doan Minh Ly, Director of the Vinh Long Provincial Police Department, urged all local police forces to focus on suppressing the crimes and law violations, ensuring safety for important events in the area, particularly the Provincial Party Congress for the term of 2020-2025.
