Volunteer firefighting team established in Hanoi

PSNews –The People's Committee of Dich Vong Hau ward, Cau Giay district, Hanoi city on December 6 launched a volunteer firefighting team with the participation of the young voluntary residents.

According to Chairman of the Ward People’s Committee Nguyen Quang Thang, the massive fire occurred earlier at 68 Tran Thai Tong has left a painful lesson about the consequences of fire to the authorities and and all people.

For the local people’s aspirations, the Ward People's Committee organized the volunteer firefighting team with the aim of strengthening the local capacity of fire protection.

The volunteer firefighting team, consisting of young people aged 18-25, will also perform the tasks of disaster prevention and search and rescue within the district.

The team will be placed under the direction of a Vice Chairman of the Ward People’s Committee, the Ward Police Chief and the Commander of the Ward Military Unit.

The team will also be equipped with necessary tools to fight fire.

Earlier, the Ward People's Committee had opened a training course on fire safety rules and fire escape techniques in the case of fire for local people and employers of restaurants, supermarkets.
