Women of MPS contribute significantly to promote image of Vietnamese women

PSNews – The Central Party of Public Security and leadership of the Ministry of Public Security on March 5th held a meeting with delegation of public security women, attending the 12th National Women's Congress.

Senior Lieutenant Nguyen Van Thanh, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Minister of Public Security presented at the meeting.

Senior Colonel Ngo Hoai Thu, Chairwoman of the Women's Union Organization of Public Security, head of the delegation revealed that 22 outstanding delegates on behalf of 45,000 female officers and workers at the Ministry of Public Security are participating in the 12th National Women's Congress held from March 6th to 9th at the National Convention Center. The congress sees the presence of 1,156 delegates, which are divided into 70 groups, including delegation of public security women, delegation of defense women and delegation of the Vietnam National Labor Federation's Women Board).

To welcome the event, women of the Ministry of Public Security have been organizing many practical and meaningful activities such as popularizing the results of public security women’s activities over the past years, and deployment of the resolutions of public security women’s congresses at all levels.

On behalf of the Central Party of Public Security and leadership of the Ministry of Public Security, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Thanh congratulated public security women’s achievements and expressed his pleasure over meeting the delegates of public security women.

The Deputy Minister hoped that the delegation will contribute to the success of the National Women’s Congress, popularize good impressions of women of public security featured by "Confidence - self-respect - loyalty - hard working, dedication to National security."

Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Thanh also highlighted the contribution of public security women to promoting the glorious tradition of the Vietnamese women both internally and internationally. Many policewomen are high-ranking officers; 3 policewomen are promoted to be Major General, 2 policewomen are planned to be promoted to the Deputy Minister position.

The Deputy Minister asked the delegates from the Ministry of Public Security to continue to keep the unique features of the public security force and propose valuable opinions and ideas to the building of documents to be submitted to the Congress; brief the results of the congress to all member so the Women's Union Organization of Public Security.

Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Thanh also required the women delegation of Public Security to draw up a concrete action plan to implement the Resolution of the 12th National Women’s Congress for the Public Security Women’s Organization on the basis of special working functions and features of female officers at the public security force.

To meet this end, the Public Security Women’s Organization should launch an emulating movement, strengthen the Women's Union organization's structure, and improve the quality of the organization’s cadres and all members.
