Youths of PSF carry out charitable activities in Hoa Binh and Son La
PSNews - The Youth Union chapter of the General Department of Politics in collaboration with other local police units recently carried out charitable activities in Hoa Binh and Son La with the aim of easing difficulties of mountainous people and needy people in flood-stricken areas.
The youth mission and the Hoa Binh Provincial Police visited and presented gifts (worth VND 1 million/each) to 20 needy households in Nhap village, Dong Ruong commune, Da Bac district, Hoa Binh province. |
The Youth Chapter of the Training Department under the Ministry of Public Security also handed over VND 5 million to several households in Nhac village, |
Dong Ruong commune is one of the communes suffering large losses during the recent flooding of Da Bac district. After a night, floods killed two, injured six people and destroyed 95 houses. At this point, 20 households in Nhap village are living in temporary shelters on Tan Huong hill. |
On behalf of the youths of the Public Security Forces, Captain Nguyen Quang Manh, Secretary of the Youth Union chapter of the General Department of Politics spoke, “These gifts are small but showing sincere sentiments of the youths of the Public Security Forces for the people. We hope to help the people overcome their difficulties and stabilize their lives soon.” |
After Hoa Binh, the youth mission continued their journey to Long Sap commune, Moc Chau district, Son La province. |
The locality is home to four ethnic groups: Kinh, Thai, H'mong, Kho Mu. Most of the population is poor people, mainly living on old-style agricultural cultivation and lacking knowledge. |
The mission, in collaboration with the Youth Union chapter of the Son La Provincial Police and the Moc Chau District Police held a small meeting to popularize the Law on drug prevention to local people. |
In addition, they also offered gifts (worth VND 27 million) to 27 households in and extremely difficult state. |
