Youths of the Hanoi Municipal Police join blood donation festival

PSNews - Miss Vietnam 2016 Do My Linh and 1.000 members of the Youth Union Chapter of the Hanoi Municipal Police participated in the 10th “Red Sunday” blood donation festival. After a day, the organizing board collected nearly 1,000 blood units. 

The Standing Committee of the Youth Union Chapter of the Hanoi Municipal Police in collaboration with the Tien Phong newspaper and the Youth Union of the Vietnam – Germany Friendship Hospital launched the 4th Journey “Light the fire of voluntariness to serve people” and the 10th “Red Sunday” in 2018, on January 14.

With the aim of creating an emulation movement to celebrate the 88th anniversary of establishment of the Communist Party of Vietnam and 70 years since Uncle Ho gave six teachings to the Public Security Forces. Accordingly, from now until the end of October 2018, the 4th Journey "Light the fire of voluntariness to serve people" will be widely implemented in Hanoi.

Accordingly, each emulation group of the Youths of the Hanoi Municipal Police will organize at least a joint voluntary event to help local people raise their awareness of protecting our environment and conduct other social activities, such as visiting revolutionary families, offering free health check-ups and medicines to needy people, popularizing traffic safety regulations and organizing blood donation drives.

On the morning of January 14, Miss Vietnam 2016 Do My Linh and 1.000 members of the Youth Union Chapter of the Hanoi Municipal Police participated in the 10

th “Red Sunday” blood donation festival. After a day, the organizing board collected nearly 1,000 blood units, contributing to easing the shortage of blood to treat patients during the upcoming Lunar New Year festival.

In addition to these activities, over the past time, the Hanoi Municipal Police have always taken the lead in administrative reforms, such as guiding people to online application for visas and citizen identification cards, and saving people’s time and labor by erasing lengthy administrative procedures.
