Youths of the Public Security Forces hold camp to promote the movement “Following 6 teachings of Uncle Ho”

The Youth Union Chapter of the Ministry of Public Security (MPS) on March 10 held a camp themed “Youth of Vietnam’s Public Security Forces following 6 teachings of Uncle Ho” and a music festival named “Songs in praise of Uncle Ho” in Tan Yen, Bac Giang.

The program was organized to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Uncle Ho’s sending the 6 teachings to the Public Security Forces (March 11, 1948), and 70th anniversary of Uncle Ho’s Call for Patriotic Emulation (June 11, 1948).

The opening ceremony was attended by Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Thanh, Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Minister of Public Security; Mr. Nguyen Van Linh, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Giang; Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Luong, Secretary of the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union; and 1,200 delegates representing the Youth of 46 Fire Prevention and Fighting and  local police  units and agencies under the MPS as well as more than 100 representatives from the Youth Union Chapter of the People’s Army, the Central agencies and businesses and the Youth Union Chapter of Bac Giang.

The camp, which is seen as an important political event of the Public Security Forces, runs from March 10 to 12 with meaningful and exciting activities. Participants in the camp carried out various political activities, such as presenting 70 outdoor benches to the memorial site of “6 Teachings of Uncle Ho to the Public Security Forces”, and visiting and presenting gifts to needy local people and policy households in Tan Yen. The camp became more exciting and joyful with the special art program in tribute to Uncle Ho with the participation of various units under the MPS and Bac Giang province.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the program, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Thanh applauded the Youth Union Chapter of the MPS for advising the General Department of Politics on organizing various activities and programs, including this one.  He also expressed his belief that the Youth Union Chapter of the MPS would continue to promote the glorious tradition of the Public Security Forces, and further study and follow the six teachings of Uncle Ho to the forces while enhancing the movement “Learning and following the thought, morals and style of President Ho Chi Minh,” continuing to serve as the pioneering force in the emulation movement “Building up the police manners of bravery, humanity and devotedness to the people,” and striving to fulfill all assigned tasks and build regular, elite, modern public security forces.

On the same day, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Thanh led the delegation of the MPS to offer incense at Tu Giap Pagoda (Nha Nam commune, Tan Yen, Bac Giang) where the Headquarters of the Public Security Zone 7 was located from 1946 to 1948, and the Public Security Forces received the letter with the 6 teachings of Uncle Ho on March 11, 1948.

After the incense-offering ceremony, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Thanh presided over the rehearsal of the celebration of the 70th anniversary of Uncle Ho’s sending 6 teachings to the Public Security Forces, attended the inauguration of the memorial stele of “6 teachings of Uncle Ho to the Public Security Forces” and visited the Traditional House of “6 teachings of Uncle Ho to the Public Security Forces.”
