HCMC establishes cybersecurity incident response team

PSNews – The Ho Chi Minh City Municipal People’s Committee has just set up a cyber security incident response team, which will be ready to immediately respond to computer or information security incidents in the city.   

Furthermore, the new cybersecurity incident response team of Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC) will be ready to join national efforts to address incidents related to information security of the national-level networks when being requested by the Ministry of Information and Communication or the National Coordinating Agency.

The newly established team has 12 members, including representatives of the HCMC Department of Information and Communications, the city police forces, the city military command, the Southern Information Security Association chapter, the Quang Trung Software Park Company, the University of Information Technology and some other information security experts.

The HCMC cybersecurity emergency response team is headed by a Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Information and Communications.
