Lac Hong University wins Vietnam IoT Hackathon 2017

PSNews - The military-run telecommunications group Viettel pledged to support the winners of the Vietnam IoT Hackathon 2017’s finale in developing their products for one year, in addition to its funding of VND 600 million for all awards.

The Vietnam IoT Hackathon 2017 was officially closed, naming 4 winners: the IPG team (Lac Hong university) with their “Smart Panel” project titled the Champion; the Giao thoa (interference) Teach with their project “Smart Lock for Online Tenants receiving the “Transcendence” award; the D-Family with their project “Household Cultivation Solution” presented the “Tech-Application” award; and the Temo with their project “System of Acupuncture Spots” winning the “Potential” award.

Under the theme “Internet of Things”, this year’s contest has drawn a large number of creative ideas, solutions and smart apps in the fields of agriculture, energy, trading, automation, city, health, business, production and security.

According to the jury, most participants were young people and students with a high sense of start-up. Many projects are highly applicable and commercial.

The best 7 teams from the18 finalists presented their projects in front of the jury and advisory board. Four teams with their best performances were selected to receive the highest prizes.

The Vietnam IoT Hackathon 2017 was a national-scale hi-tech contest organized by Viettel . By funding the contest, Viettel has rendered practical supports to potential Vietnamese Start-ups and young talents in the Internet of things, and promoted Vietnamese youths’ creativity, innovation as well as their hard working and learning spirit.
