More IT specialists, workers needed in 2018

IT workers are in very high demand as technology firms are planning to expand staff this year. The average pay in the industry is 3-4 times higher than many other fields.

AnyMind has offices in 9 countries and territories. In Vietnam, the company, which started 22 months ago, specializes in AI apps at two offices. It is still recruiting more workers, planning to increase the number of employees from 260 in 10 offices to 400 by the end of this year.
Shopee, an e-commerce firm, with a staff of 300 members, has moved to a new office with space large enough for 700 workers. Prior to that, its staff expanded by 50 percent in the time from Q2 to Q4.Tran Tuan Anh, CEO of Shopee, said the company would implement a program to develop human resources from 2018.
Under the program, large recruitment campaigns at prestigious universities will be organized. In order to attract talents, the company will offer better conditions in job opportunities and provide training in Singapore.
