Vietnamese startup receives international award
PSNews – The MoMo e-mobile wallet, an online service provided by a Vietnamese startup company won “Vietnam’s best mobile payment app” selected by the prestigious Singaporean magazine “The Asian Banker.”

Experts and the management team of The Asian Banker have transparently and independently assessed every single product to choose the best apps.

Being put in operation since June 2014, this app has so far attracted more than 2 million clients. MoMo app has also been chosen as their strategic partner by 10 big banks and international banking card providers, including Vietcombank, VPBank, OCB, Eximbank, Sacombank, TPBank, ACB; Visa card, Master card, JCB card.
In 2016, MoMo became a phenomenon in the Vietnamese Startup Community to get an investment up to US $28 million from Standard Chartered and Goldman Sachs.
This is also the first enterprise in Vietnam which has been allowed by the State Bank to operate a cash transfer service in collaboration with Vietcombank via the MoMo shop system across the country.
