Vietnamese students bag five prizes at ISEF 2017

The rewarding ceremony of the ISEF by Intel took place in California (USA) on May 20 with the participation of nearly 1,800 contestants from 78 countries.
Organized annually since 1952, Intel's ISEF 2017 was held for students in grades 9-12 from all over the world to compete in 22 categories.
The Vietnamese delegation participated in this year's contest with 8 projects conducted by 15 high school students, of which 5 projects won prizes.

In the category of Robotics and Intelligent Machines, Vietnamese students won a 3rd and a 4th prizes. Among them, Chu Hoang Minh Duc and Pham Thien Tan from Le Hong Phong High School (Ho Chi Minh City) won the 4th prize with the project "A sign language interpreter glove that can be connected to smartphones of people with hearing impairment"; Pham Quang Huy, student from Quang Tri High School, won the 3rd prize with his project "Robotic arm for the disabled".
In the category of Chemistry, the Vietnamese delegation had two 4th prizes for projects created by Tran Khue and Vu Nam Anh, students from Hanoi University of Science, and Bui Do Minh Quan and Do Mai of Tran Phu High School (Hai Phong).
In the System Software category, Tran Thi Anh Thu of Bao Loc Selective School (Lam Dong) pocketed a 4th prize with her project "Android application integrated augmented reality and mixed reality to assist chemistry learners" project.
The highest prize of this year's competition went to the students from Germany, followed by the students from United States and Italy.
