Viettel launches 4G service in Timor Leste

PSNews - Telemor, Viettel's subsidiary in Timor Leste, on July 30 has become the first mobile service provider to operate a 4G network in the country. Timor Leste is the 7th market Viettel officially runs 4G. 

On the first day of launch, the 4G network has reached to all 13 cities and provinces of Timor Lester.

Previously, Viettel had successfully invested in the 4G infrastructure and provided 4G services for its customers in 6 countries, namely Cambodia, Laos, Burundi, Peru, Haiti and Vietnam. 

Timor Leste is a special market as Viettel has become the first mobile services provider that has officially put the 4G network into operation in the country.

In Vietnam, Viettel has set up 36,000 4G Base Transceiver Stations to cover 95% of the population, becoming the first mobile network provider in the world to cover the whole country with its 4G network at the service launch.

Viettel is now researching and producing telecommunication equipment and devices for its 11 mobile providers around the world.
