WhiteHat Grand Prix 06 conveys messages about Vietnam

The Information Security Department, under the Ministry of Information and Communications (MIC), and BKAV on December 6 announced their plan to organize the WhiteHat Grand Prix 06, a contest on cyber security, officially sponsored by the MIC.

The organizers said that the difference between the WhiteHat Grand Prix with other contests is that it conveys meaningful messages regarding Vietnam and Vietnamese people to participating teams via challenges.

This year’s contest, themed “Vietnam Today”, will introduce to teams from all over the world a modern and developing Vietnam with various achievements in culture, economy and science – technology.

The WhiteHat Grand Prix 06 Preliminary Round takes place online for 24 hours from 9h of December 14. The WhiteHat Grand Prix 06 Final Round is scheduled to take place in mid-February 2020 in Hanoi.

The WhiteHat Grand Prix was first held at the national level in 2014 and has become an international contest since 2015. This Vietnam-hosted contest is highly regarded in the international cyber security community, and draws the participation of many top teams from developed countries such as the U.S, Russia, Ukraine and Republic of Korea.
