Public Security Forces hold key position in ensuring safety and security for national financial system

The Ministry of Public Security and the Ministry of Finance organized a conference to review the results of coordination between the two ministries over the past time on the afternoon of August 14, 2023, in Hanoi.

Politburo Member, Secretary of the Public Security Central Party Committee and Minister of Public Security General To Lam and Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Party Civil Affairs Committee of the Finance Ministry and Minister of Finance Ho Duc Phoc co-chaired the meeting.

Speaking at the conference, Minister Ho Duc Phoc underlined that the Ministry of Finance had fulfilled its assigned tasks over the past time, including controlling smuggling and trade frauds, thanks to the close coordination and effective support of the Ministry of Public Security.

In order to enhance the close coordination between the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Public Security in the coming time, Minister Ho Duc Phoc suggested that the two ministries work closely in investigating and handling violations related to the stock market as well as in the fields of tax, lottery and insurance as well as in the fields of customs, focusing on countering smuggling, trade frauds and illicit drug trafficking.

On the occasion of the 78th Founding Day of the Public Security Forces (19/8/1945 – 19/8/2023), Minister Ho Duc Phoc sent congratulations to the Public Security Central Party Committee, leaders of the Ministry of Public Security and all public security officers and staff, wishing good health, happiness and success to them.

On behalf of the Public Security Central Party Committee and the Ministry of Public Security, Minister To Lam applauded the noticeable achievements obtained by the Ministry of Finance over the past 78 years.

Minister To Lam agreed with the orientations for coordination between the Ministry of Public Security and the Ministry of Finance in the coming time, suggesting that the two ministries continuously improve the effectiveness of cooperation activities, successfully fulfilling the two sectors’ assigned political tasks. 

According to General To Lam, agencies and units under the two ministries at all levels should strictly follow Joint Circular No.85 and Coordination Program No.01 to effectively implement cooperation activities.
