Deputies Ministers of Public Security of Vietnam and Laos hold talks

Within the framework of President Vo Van Thuong's official visit to Laos, a high-ranking delegation of the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam led by Deputy Minister of Public Security Senior Lieutenant General Tran Quoc To and a high-ranking delegation of the Lao Ministry of Public Security headed by Deputy Minister of Public Security of Laos Lieutenant General Vanthoong Kongmani had talks, on the morning of April 11, at the Ministry of Public Security of Laos.

During the meeting, delegates focused discussion on personnel training cooperation between the two sides, including building capacity of lecturers at public security schools, improving foreign language proficiency of officers, raising the quality of the training for Lao students studying in Vietnam.

Deplegates from the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam also shared with the Ministry of Public Security of Laos the experience in streamlining the organization and apparatus of the Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security for more efficiency.

Sincerely thanking the delegates from the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam for the information and valuable lessons, Deputy Minister Vanthoong Kongmani said, the support and assistance of the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam for the Lao Ministry of Public Security is significant. He stressed, the cooperation projects and plans between the two sides are going well and will finish as scheduled.
