Minister of Information and Communication visits CAND Newspaper on Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day

A delegation of the Ministry of Information and Communication (MIC), led by Mr. Nguyen Manh Hung, Member of the Party Central Committee and Minister of Information and Communication, Deputy Head of the Central Commission for Information and Education, visited and congratulated Public Security (CAND) Newspaper on the occasion of the 98th anniversary of the Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day (June 21, 1925-2023).

Mr. Nguyen Manh Hung, Member of the Party Central Committee and Minister of Information and Communication, Deputy Head of the Central Commission for Information and Education, works with leaders and officers of CAND Newspaper. 

Major General Pham Khai, Editor-in-Chief of CAND Newspaper and other members of the Editorial Board of CAND Newspaper welcomed the visiting delegation.

Minister Hung extended greetings and wishes to the CAND Newspaper’s leaders and staff on the occasion.

For his part, Major General Pham Khai appreciated the thought and gifts of the Minister to the CAND Newspaper, and briefed the minister and other delegates on the outstanding achievements gained by the newspaper.

Notably, journalists of the newspaper have won high prizes at various press awards in 2023.

Speaking at the meeting, Minister Hung applauded the achievements gained by the CAND Newspaper. He noted that the Prime Minister has just issued Directive No. 07/CT-TTg, a new policy to create favorable conditions for the press and improve the efficiency of information and operation of the press and media.

The minister expressed his wish that leaders and staff of the CAND Newspaper would perform well their assigned tasks on the basis of their good results in the past time. They should apply science and technology to and use multimedia and multi-platform in the journalism to attract more readers. More efforts should be given to innovating the contents of reports and articles to satisfy needs of different readers.
