Deputy Minister Le Quoc Hung and Deputy Minister Chen Siyuan sign a Memorandum of Understanding on political security cooperation between the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam and the Ministry of Public Security of China.

Deputy Minister of Public Security of Vietnam Lieutenant General Le Quoc Hung and Deputy Minister of Public Security of China Chen Siyuan co-chaired the conference, which was also attended by leaders of underministrial agencies of the two ministries.

At the conference, the two parties exchanged situation in the region and world of mutual concern, evaluated the results of cooperation and worked on orientations for cooperation on political security between the two ministries.

Regarding the results of cooperation between the two ministries, the two sides agreed that they had closely coordinated, promptly exchanged information, and advised leaders of the two Parties and countries to resettle important and sensitive issues affecting the national security and interests of the two countries, so as to cement bilateral political trust.

The two sides contributed to establishing a comprehensive, multi-level, multi-field cooperation mechanism and achieved practical results, contributing to protecting the socialist regime and ensuring national security and order in each country as well as preserving peace and stability along the Vietnam - China border line.

To further expand cooperation and relationship as well as strengthen political trust, the two sides agreed to implement the Vietnam Joint Declaration and other signed cooperation documents while increasing exchange of information about the political security situation between the two countries, regional situations of mutual concern, sharing experience in preventing, fighting and handling false and fake information in cyberspace defaming the Party and State, threatening security and order and dividing the friendship between Vietnam and China. 

The two sides should also coordinate to ensure security and safety for visits of senior leaders of one country to the other country, major political events to be held in the two countries as well as to protect agencies, businesses and citizens of one country in the other country. .
