The Department of Cyber Security and Hi-tech Crime Prevention under the Ministry of Public Security has recently detected a sharp increase in the number of cyber-attacks on Vietnam’s Internet system, particularly on the websites and networks of important agencies, economic groups, financial institutions.
Vietnam suffered 620 cyber attacks in the first three months of this year, down by about 50 percent compared with last year’s figure, according to the Authority of Information Security (AIS) under the Ministry of Information and Communications.
