PSNews - 2018 saw a big success of Vietnam in attracting foreign investment with a total foreign direct investment (FDI) of 35.46 billion USD. Especially, the disbursed FDI reached a record in 2018 of 19.1 billion USD, up by 9.1 % compared to the previous year.
Vietnam attracted 35.46 billion USD in total foreign direct investment (FDI) in 2018, equivalent to 98.8 percent of the previous year’s figure.
Vietnam must make more use of dynamic rather than static advantages to improve its efficiency in FDI attraction, said Dr. Dinh Trong Thang from the Central Institute for Economic Management (CIEM) on November 30.
The foreign direct investment (FDI) picture in the first half of 2018 has kept the black spot of technology transfer despite capital inflows increasing against last year.
The proportion of FDI enterprises choosing to use commercial arbitration in cases of dispute is 40%.
