Addressing a press briefing in Hanoi on May 31, Phong noted the forum will feature three seminars focusing on how to develop a stable labour supply chain after the COVID-19 pandemic; the development of capital and real estate markets; and technology innovation, digital transformation, and supply chain diversification.

Furthermore, a plenary session and high-level policy dialogue will discuss the global economy and other major trends in international economic co-operation. Delegates will also examine Vietnam’s opportunities and challenges in the current global economy; human resource training on digital technology, as well as national risk management moving in the new context.

The dialogue is anticipated to attract roughly 1,000 delegates, including State leaders, officials from various ministries, sectors, localities, scientists, researchers, enterprises, and representatives from several international organisations, said Phong.

Unlike in the previous three forums which were held in Hanoi, Phong added the 2022 forum will first take place in Ho Chi Minh City – the country’s economic locomotive that was hardest hit by the COVID-19 outbreak last year.

The forum will be held by the Party Central Committee’s Economic Commission, the Government, and the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee.
