7,000 yoga practitioners to participate in International Yoga Day events in Vietnam

PSNews - This year's International Yoga Festival in Vietnam will take place from June 17 to July 2 in nine cities and provinces of Vietnam, and the events are expected to attract the participation of more than 7,000 people.

At a press conference on June 13, representatives of the Embassy of India in Vietnam said that the embassy in the Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Culture, Sport and Tourism and Bao Viet Life Insurance Company to hold events on the International Yoga Day in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Vinh Phuc, Da Nang, Vinh, Nha Trang, Dong Nai, Can Tho and Long An.

The yoga events in the localities are expected to attract 7,000 performers and about 10,000 spectators. This will be the largest international yoga day ever to be held in Vietnam. The festival is more significant as it is also seen as part of the activities to celebrate the 45th anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam-India bilateral diplomatic ties (1972 – 2017) and ten years since the Vietnam-India strategic partnership (2007 – 2017) was established.

Within the framework of the festival, the book "Common Yoga Protocol", published by the Indian Department of Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homoeopathy, will be introduced and presented to first people to join the collective yoga performance.

This book provides general knowledge of Yoga and guides people how to practice basic yoga exercises, which can help people live in a healthy way, balance their emotions and have positive and smart thinking.

The organization of the International Yoga Day in Vietnam is within the framework of the "Protecting Vietnamese values- Protecting Vietnamese health" community program initiated by Bao Viet Life.

Within the framework of the program "Protecting Vietnamese values- Protecting Vietnamese health", starting from June 23, Bao Viet Life will also organize health consultation sessions with the participation of experienced doctors nationwide and seminars on health topics and healthy lifestyles.
