Hanoi streets adorned with red flamboyant blossoming

Streets throughout the capital have been adorned with the burning red of Hoa Phuong, also known as flamboyant flowers, which signal the beginning of summer and the end of the school year.

Images of flamboyant flowers can easily be found on Thanh Nien and Lang roads.

Flame tree flowers are widely considered to be the iconic flora of summer in Hanoi as they bloom between April and June annually.

Flamboyant flowers have also been dubbed the flower of school age as they start to bloom as the academic year concludes.

This flower features four petals which are either red-orange or magenta.
