14 arrested for involvement in online football betting

Southern police forces detained 14 men across Ho Chi Minh City and Dong Nai province on November 21 and November 22 for their alleged involvement in a large football betting ring on the Internet worth trillions of VND.

The ring was led by a Vietnamese person, with the actual betting taking place in Cambodia.

Initial police investigations reveal that the ring had been conducting betting activities over the past three years which cost trillions of VND.

The case is currently under further investigation.
