More students volunteer to join COVID-19 fight in Bac Giang, Bac Ninh

PSNews – Recently, thousands of students have volunteered to go to the COVID-19 hotspots of Bac Giang, Bac Ninh provinces to assist the local fight against this pandemic. 

The University of Phenikaa on June 6 sent 24 lecturers and students of the Faculty of Nursing to Bac Ninh to support the local fight against COVID-19.

Professor Pham Thanh Huy, Director of the University of Phenikaa said that, the university is very proud of their students who have volunteered to participate in the COVID-19 prevention and fight in Thuan Thanh, Bac Ninh, saying it illustrates the youth vanguard spirit. 

The University of Phenikaa also sent 10,000 face shields to 30 localities, with half of them sent to the COVID-19 hotspots of Bac Giang and Bac Ninh. 

The university also sent 10,000 bottles of Oresol to medical workers working on the frontline, and a medical robot to Bac Giang Field Hospital No.2.

Earlier, in response to the call of Minister of Health Nguyen Thanh Long, 24,413 lecturers, and students of 38 universities and colleges of medicine and pharmacy volunteered to fight COVID-19 in Bac Ninh and Bac Giang.

Minister of Health Nguyen Thanh Long said it was the largest-ever medical personnel mobilization in Vietnam.
