Vietnam National University ranks among world’s best in Physics
PSNews – According to the recent Rankings of the Best Global Universities for Physics announced by the US News& World Report, the Vietnam National University (VNU) in Hanoi is the only university in Vietnam that has been listed. It was ranked 502nd globally in Physics.

The ranking is based on specific criteria. In particular, VNU Hanoi was ranked 62th in physics regional research reputation while the physics global research reputation was placed 472nd. Its physics percentage of total publications with international collaboration was ranked 83th. In other criteria, VNU Hanoi was rated as 252nd to 696th. The overall score of VNU Hanoi in physics reached 41.4.
In the region, Mahidol University in Thailand was ranked 494th globally while Chulalonkorn University was ranked 548th, among the 9 Universitie sof Thailand named in the rankings. Malaysia University was ranked 266th,among the 8 Malaysian universities named in the rankings.
This is the 5th time US News & World Report has announced the Best Global Universities Rankings after assessing academic research and the reputation in both academic and general training of all universities in the world.
US News & World Report evaluated 1,372 universities and ranked 1,250 universities in 75 countries based on the data extracted from Clarivate Analytics’ global database.
