NA Standing Committee convenes fourth session in Hanoi
The fourth session of the National Assembly (NA) Standing Committee is set to open on October 11 in Hanoi, giving opinions on many important issues, including the national land use planning for 2021-2030, a vision to 2050 and a five-year land use plan for 2021-2025.
NA Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue will give an opening speech, with NA deputy chairmen taking turn to chair meetings during the session.
The committee is set to consider and comment on law-making work, socio-economic issues, state budget, supervision work, and preparation for the second sitting of the 15th NA.
Lawmakers will also give opinions on the Law amending and supplementing the Appendix-List of national statistical indicators of the Law on Statistics and a draft resolution on piloting a number of special mechanisms and policies for the development of Hai Phong, Nghe An, and Thua Thien-Hue.
Their discussion will also cover the reports on the management and use of the health insurance fund in 2020; results of the implementation of the socio-economic development plan and the state budget estimate in 2021; the socio-economic development plan for 2022; the economic restructuring plan for 2021-2025; among other matters.
In addition, the NA Standing Committee will give opinions on the preparation of the second session of the 15th NA, including the proposal of a number of improvements to be applied at the second session of the 15th legislature and the organization of Q&A activities at the meeting.
