Can Tho police signs coordination agreement with Security Guard Command

The Municipal Police Department of Can Tho on May 28 signed a coordination agreement with the Security Guard Command under the Ministry of Public Security. Major General Le Tan Toi, Deputy Minister of Public Security, chaired the event.

The signing ceremony saw the presence of Mr. Tran Viet Truong, Vice Secretary of the Can Tho Municipal Party Committee and Chairman of the Municipal People’s Committee, Major General Nguyen Van Thuan, Director of the Can Tho Municipal Police Department, Major General Tran Hai Quan, Commander of Security Guard and Major General Bui Quang Hai, Vice Head of the MPS Office.

Speaking at the event, Deputy Minister Le Tan Toi spoke highly of the coordination of the two units.

The signing of the agreement marked a new development in the coordination between the two sides and served as a legal foundation for them to further ensure safety and security for Party and State leaders as well as international delegations, who visit and work in the city of Can Tho in particular and the Mekong Delta region in general.

Earlier on the same day, Deputy Minister Le Tan Toi and other delegates offered incense and flowers to President Ho Chi Minh at the President Ho Chi Minh Memorial in the headquarters of the city’s police.
