Speaking at the ceremony, Lieutenant General Pham Quoc Cuong, Commander of the Mobile Police suggested that the Animal Training Center should actively advise Ministry of Public Security’s leaders to increase the number of officers enrolled in animal training courses at the center so that 100% of local-level police units have officers in charge of raising and using animals for professional purposes.

The center should research and build a professional training program, renovate its textbooks, and apply advanced scientific and technological advancements to its training. It should also regularly conduct drills to use animals in different conditions, areas and situations while taking due care of training officers and trained animals.

He underscored the need to expand international cooperation, and create favorable conditions for professional animal trainers to study and improve their professional qualifications, as well as exchange experiences of training and use of animals with their peers from other countries.
