Cao Bang Provincial Police Department summarizes counter-illegal immigration campaign
Recently, the Cao Bang Provincial Police Department organized a meeting to summarize the campaign on preventing and combating illegal immigration across the Vietnam and China borderline in Cao Bang province.
Deputy Director of the Cao Bang Provincial Police Department Senior Colonel Sam Minh Ho chaired the meeting.
During the recent campaign, the Cao Bang police forces closely coordinated with relevant forces to detect and prevent hundreds of illegal immigrants and destroy a criminal group organizing illegal entry and exit of other people in Cao Bang province, while returning 118 foreign citizens entering Vietnam illegally and deporting three Chinese citizens violating Vietnam’s immigration regulations.
In addition, the Cao Bang Provincial Police Department closely cooperated and regularly exchanged information with the Guangxi Provincial Public Security Department of China on illegal immigration.
The Cao Bang police forces also implemented synchronous measures to grasp the security and order situation in the province, enhance traffic patrols and population management, promote mass mobilization in border communes as well as regularly patrol along key routes to detect and stop vehicles carrying immigrants.
Speaking at the meeting, Senior Colonel Sam Minh Ho praised Cao Bang police units for their achievements in the campaign.
The Deputy Director requested that all police units under the Cao Bang Provincial Police Department should further promote law information and mass mobilization, considering the work as a key task in preventing illegal immigration early and from afar, while closely and comprehensively cooperating with relevant agencies and branches, especially the Border Guard, in managing the borderline, aiming to mobilize the entire political system to participate in preventing and fighting illegal immigration.
Senior Colonel Sam Minh Ho also requested the Cao Bang police forces to strengthen cooperation with foreign law enforcement agencies, especially the Chinese Public Security Forces, in exchanging situations and information regarding illegal immigration.
