Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Long praises Ho Chi Minh City Police for eradication of large-scale drug trafficking networks

On April 24 - 25, the HCMC Police Department took synchronous professional measures to attack two large-scale drug trafficking networks.

The police have arrested 27 suspects and seized over 245 kilograms of various types of narcotics and numerous other exhibits.

The success in clearing the cases demonstrated the high sense of responsibility, sharp professional expertise and unwavering determination of the HCMC Police Force in the fight against illicit drug trafficking. The local police’s success in clearing two large drug trafficking has served as an exemplar of the realization of directions of the Public Security Central Party Committee and the leadership of the Ministry of Public Security in combating organized and transnational drug crimes.

Further, it has further embellished the proud tradition of the People's Public Security Forces in general and the HCMC Police Force in particular, standing as a meaningful contribution to the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification.

On behalf of the Public Security Central Party Committee and leaders of the Ministry of Public Security, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Long praised the HCMC Police Department for the victory.

He also requested the police department to closely collaborate with other relevant police units and agencies to expand the investigation of the case and promptly complete the documentation so as to prosecute all those involved according to the laws.
