Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Son works with Quang Nam Provincial Police Department
Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Son, Deputy Minister of Public Security, leading a delegation of the Ministry of Public Security, worked with the Provincial Police Department of Quang Nam on October 18.
Major General Nguyen Duc Dung, Director of the Quang Nam Provincial Police Department, briefed the deputy minister and other delegates on the situation of security and order in the province over the past 9 months.
Speaking at the event, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Son appreciated the provincial police’s efforts in COVID prevention and control, in response to natural disasters as well as in fighting crime.
He took this chance to ask the authorities of Quang Nam to create favorable conditions for the provincial police force to fulfil their given tasks of ensuring security and order in the locality.
Specially, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Son asked the provincial police to give further support to the communal police force, and build professional capacity of grassroots-level police officers.
He asked the provincial police to create favorable conditions for the 13 police officers who have been reinforced to border communes of Quang Nam to fulfill their duties.
He also asked the provincial police to support unemployed workers returning from Southern localities. Regarding the public order and security situation in the province, the deputy minister stressed that the police forces of Quang Nam take measures to prevent and fight crimes, especially high-tech crimes, usury and illegal gatherings and drug abuse during the pandemic time.
