Minister Luong Tam Quang hosts U.S. Ambassador
Minister of Public Security General Luong Tam Quang hosted a meeting with U.S. Ambassador to Vietnam Marc Knapper and representatives from several functional departments of the U.S. Embassy, on the afternoon of February 13th, in Hanoi.

At the meeting, Minister Luong Tam Quang and Ambassador Marc Knapper discussed a range of issues related to bilateral cooperation in general and cross-sectoral cooperation between the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam and U.S. security, police, and law enforcement agencies in particular.
Minister Luong Tam Quang suggested that the U.S. side maintain regular information exchange and close coordination with the Vietnamese side to promote high-level diplomatic activities between the two countries.
The host also underlined that the two sides should closely coordinate to effectively implement the commitments outlined in the Joint Statement and the Action Plan for the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, which were agreed upon by the top leaders of both countries.
Regarding cross-sectoral cooperation between the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam and U.S. partner agencies, Minister Luong Tam Quang urged relevant authorities of the two countries to actively implement the cooperation initiatives outlined in the Joint Statement and the Action Plan for the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, while strengthening cooperation in combating transnational crime and addressing other security-related issues.
Sincerely thanking Minister Luong Tam Quang for the meeting, U.S. Ambassador Marc Knapper affirmed that the U.S. side will continue to closely coordinate with the functional units of the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam to effectively implement key cooperation areas of mutual interest, especially to fulfill the commitments agreed upon by the top leaders of both countries in the framework of the Vietnam - U.S. Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, for the sake of peace, cooperation, and sustainable development.
