Ministry of Public Security opens Ho Guom Theater
The Ministry of Public Security and Hanoi People's Committee co-held a ceremony to inaugurate Hồ Gươm (Sword Lake) Theater, on the morning of July 9, 2023, at 40 Hang Bai, Hoan Kiem district, Hanoi.
Built in the heart of the capital, with a neoclassical design style, the theater has six floors and three basements, including a main auditorium with up to 900 seats, a 500-seat small concert hall and a 500-seat concert hall as well as an art exhibition and display areas.
Generally, Ho Guom Theater meets all the conditions to hold political, cultural and artistic events.
Speaking at the ceremony, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh praised the Ministry of Public Security, Hanoi People's Committee and related units for their effort to complete the project as scheduled, while ensuring quality, as well as artistic and environmental standards.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh proposed the Ministry of Public Security, relevant ministries and Hanoi city to manage and operate the Ho Guom Theater effectively, and connect it with other art and cultural projects in the city, contributing to promoting culture and tourism of the capital Hanoi and of the country.
The Theater is expected to create valuable products, improve the spiritual life of the people in general and of public security officers and soldiers in particular.
Speaking at the ceremony, Minister To Lam affirmed that the Public Security Forces will closely coordinate with functional units to effectively operate and manage the theater, in line with the instructions of the Prime Minister, to spread and promote traditional cultural values of the nation; strengthen cultural and artistic cooperation with international friends.
